ABOUT

Born in south central Pennsylvania, Matthew grew up in the small townof Hanover, adjacent to Gettysburg. At the quintessential age of 18, he moved up and out, north and east, to New York City and enrolled in classes at Pratt Institute. It was here that he collected his BFA in illustration, as well as a vast array of large student loans. After interning for a small time at the Society of Illustrators, he realized that even the most famous artists he met were completely down to earth, and thought that maybe he too could be a part of this wonderful group of people. He was right. Matthew's work can be seen in countless publications around the world. He works his coffee driven days from his surprisingly roomy studio in Brooklyn, New York, where he currently resides with his love, Katie, and their cats, Rocket and Bean.
